Two Tongues album dropped
Despite my expectations the album is really good. Considering the mediocrity that was Max Bemis’ In Defense of the Genre and Chris Conley’s In Reverie, not to mention the epic failures of Saves the Days last two albums ( I didn’t even know about Under the Boards in 2007, but Sound the Alarm wasn’t even worth pirating). The album itself uses an excellent blend of Bemis’ intensity and Conley’s sensible pop melodies. Even so there can be little to no comparisons to Say Anything’s hit album, Is a real boy, nor any of Saves The Day more legendary work (Can’t Slow Down, Through Being Cool, (and almost everyone’s favorite) Stay What You Are). Overall the album although not as insightful and emotional as I may be use to coming from these two emo pop-punk genre veterans, the album itself is full of catchy power pop tunes, that are overall enjoyable.
